Due to the current Shelter in Place order, many of our regular recreation programs have been closed or canceled until further notice.We are excited to announce the "Excel In Place" out-of-school program for youth ages 5-12!
Tentative Dates:
August 24 - December 18
Program Hours:
Full Day Option - 8:00am-5:30pm, Monday-FridayHalf Day Option - 8:00am - 12pm or 1:00pm-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
Brief Program Overview:
The program will provide distance learning support, active games, arts and crafts, recreational enrichment activities, field trips, etc.
In order to maximize safety, implementation of youth programming during the COVID-19 event has been designed in close collaboration with the County Health Officer and will operate in strict accordance with CDC COVID-19 guidance and recommendations, following the social distancing, sanitation, and hygiene practices described in the following link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/ .community/schools-childcare/ index.html
Fees:
$400 per month/full day$200 per month/half day
Scholarships are availableReduced fees available to those who qualify
*Determination of each month’s actual fees is contingent on CARES Act proposed funding, pending Santa Cruz County CAO & Board approval on Aug. 18, 2020.

Application Process:
Please complete the attached application by Friday, August 14th at 5:00PM.

Registration:
If your child is placed at a program site in the first round of selected applications, you will be notified via email by Wednesday, August 19th. Spaces are very limited at this time and payment for August/September programming will need to be received by Friday, August 21st at 12PM to secure your child(ren)’s space in a program. Spaces for subsequent months will be held for enrolled families up to one week prior to the start of the next month (e.g., unpaid spaces for October will be released to families on the wait list).

The Recreation Division offers a variety of activities, enrichment classes, sports and aquatics for youth and adults. Whether it's a summer camp or gymnastics class or an adults sports league you're looking for, we have something for you.How to Register

Parks and Community Services Department Recreation Guide - Our Recreation Guide is published twice per year in November and April. It is mailed to all residents in the Pajaro Valley and is available at both branches of the Watsonville Public Library.
