We are now accepting applications for Teen Action Council (TAC)!
If you are a teen between the ages of 13-18, we invite you to apply. TAC provides teens in the Watsonville community the opportunity to build valuable leadership skills, earn community service hours, and get hands-on job skills and college-readiness training.
Please apply online. You can also get a paper application at the Watsonville Public Library or at the G.H.W.R. Youth Center.
All application materials must be submitted by 6:00pm on September 30th.
Want to be a teen volunteer at the library?
Teens aged 13-18 may earn community service hours for school by volunteering at the library.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to working every Tuesday afternoon throughout the school semester.
Types of Activities:
♦ Cleaning books, tables, & chairs ♦ Prepping craft materials for children's programs ♦ Assisting staff at library programs ♦ A variety of other activities as they arise
How to Become a Teen Volunteer:
1. Ask for or download a volunteer application. 2. Fill it out completely, including an email address and a signature from your parent or guardian. 3. The teen librarian will contact all applicants at the beginning of each semester. 4. Attend the Teen Volunteer Orientation (the teen librarian will let you know when it is).
If you feel you cannot commit to work every week, but you still want to help out with other library programs, attend the orientation.
If you aren't able to earn your community service hours with us, there are other Community Service Locations in the community that would love to have your help.
For more information contact Teen Librarian Jillian Wilson at (831)768-3414.
