Notice! December 7, 2021 Special Municipal Election

The City of Watsonville will be holding a Special Municipal Election on December 7, 2021. The nomination period will take place between September 15, 2021, and September 20, 2021, to fill the vacancy in Districts 2. Those interested in running need to be registered to vote within the district they wish to represent.


Candidates' Campaign Documents

Pursuant to Section 13313 of the Elections Code, the City Clerk shall make a copy of the candidate statement available for public examination in the City elections official's office for a period of ten (10) calendar days immediately following the deadline of September 20, 2021, for submission of those materials. Original documents will be on public display at the City Clerk’s Office, 275 Main Street, Suite 400, Watsonville, and in the table below.

During this period, any voter of the appropriate City District, or the elections official, may seek a writ of mandate or an injunction requiring any or all of the material in the statement to be amended or deleted.
