Where: Watsonville Plaza

Inspiration and information for safe, distanced, eco-friendly activities for the family. Receive Climate Readiness Kits, family litter clean-up supplies, and native plants to go; so you can make a difference in your own backyard.

Curbside Plant Sale at the WERC hosted by Watsonville Wetlands Watchwww-logo

Where: Fitz Wetlands Educational Resource Center at the top of the Pajaro Valley High School campus, 500 Harkins Slough Road, Watsonville.

Grow a native habitat in your home garden, our inventory of over 50 native and drought-tolerant plant species will offer important habitat to local birds, bees, and butterflies. Proceeds will support the restoration and education work needed to help Watsonville’s wetlands and community thrive. 

How: Order and purchase via the website:  www.watsonvillewetlandswatch.org  and pick up on April 16.

Watsonville Slough Trail Clean-Up  hosted by Bike Santa Cruz County and City of Watsonville

Where: Meet behind Ramsay Park (by the Nature Center Parking Lot) at 30 Harkins Slough Road

  • Collection bags and gloves provided. 

  • Bike Santa Cruz CountyPlease bring your own water bottles. Water refill stations available.

  • Ride your bicycle to the Clean Up! FREE Bike Valet Parking on-site!

Saturday, April 24th 9:00am - 12:00pm 

Wetlands Community Restoration Day  hosted by Watsonville Wetlands Watch  www-logo

Where: Meet at Hope Park, Upper Struve Slough at 76 Hope Dr, Watsonville, CA.

How: Help steward the wetlands and climate while taking care of newly planted trees and removing invasive plant species from the Struve Slough wetland restoration site!  We will be closely following COVID protocols and recommend you bring drinking water and sun protection. Come out and make a big difference while being outside and having fun!

  • Celebrate our Earth by properly disposing of your e-waste and tires.

  • Bring any e-waste and tires you have at home and receive a free oil change kit!
