Now that you are following the directive to shelter in place - it doesn’t mean that you can’t access library resources. Here are just a few of the entertaining and educational resources that library offers through our online services. All you need is your library card and your PIN number!
Movies & Music
◘ IndieFlix has lots of great movies to stream
◘ Stingray Qello is all music programming - watch a concert from home.
◘ Freegal has free music that can be downloaded or streamed
EBooks and Audiobooks – Download free books to most devices or read on a regular computer.
Take a class – spend your time at home stretching your mind! Learn a new language or a new skill.
◘ Universal Class - Over 500 courses on a variety of subjects. Some even give continuing education credits.
◘ The Great Courses - Many classes offering lifelong learning and personal enrichment.
◘ Transparent Language Online - learn a new language, there are more than 100 to choose from.
Virtual Storytimes & Reading
📚 Storyline Online has a variety of books read by actors and other well known people. Videos can be watched on Youtube or through Vimeo.
📚 Unite for Literacy has many early reading books available that can be read online - free and no library card needed.
📚 Interactive Storybooks featuring Clifford - also available in Spanish.
📚 Tumblebooks Library - available online or with through the Tumblebooks App (iOS/Android)
📚 Songs & Rhymes from Champaign Public Library's Storytimes
📚 A calendar of planned live stream events including music and art and storytimes

📚 The National Emergency Library has many books that aren't otherwise digitized available to students and other learners for free until the end of the National Emergency.

📚 The Children's Poetry Archive has recordings of poetry read by their authors
📚 Poetry4Kids has poems and has poetry related lessons and activities
📚 The PBS series, Poetry in America, is streaming the entire first season for free on their website

📚 Free online web comics for kids & teens from School Library Journal.
📚 Julie's Library - Podcast - Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, will read a new book. Starting April 29th.
