Spirit of Watsonville 2021 4th of July Events

Join your community in celebrating the Spirit of Watsonville! Although our traditional 4th of July Parade down Main Street is not able to take place this year, the Parks and Community Services Department invites you to join in on the festive celebrations planned throughout the weekend.

Thank you to our sponsors Driscoll's and Panther Protective Services for making this event possible!

Spirit of Watsonville Neighborhood Parade

July 1-4

Many of our residents and businesses are showing their spirit by participating in the Spirit of Watsonville Neighborhood Parade. These homes and businesses are decorated in patriotic parade float style and are sure to be a sight to see! Peruse the Neighborhood Parade map (to the right), load the family up in a vehicle and take a tour between July 1-4! There are many other homes and business that will be decorated in 4th of July spirit that are not listed on the map, so look out for them as well. Pajaro Valley Prevention and Student Assistance, JD Wireless, Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce, Panther Protective Services and Friend in Cheeses Jam Co are some of the many businesses and residences that will be participating.

Meet in the alleyway between the 2nd Street Parking Garage and the Post Office (under the new murals) starting at 12:45p on July 4th. Ride with us and your friends and family as we tour some of the homes and businesses decorated for the 4th. One of the Metro’s new electric buses will lead the way. Don’t want to ride a bike? Hop on the bus and join in on the fun! Masks are required to ride on the bus. Meet at 12p, if you’d like to help decorate the bus and your bike. Light stretches will begin at 12:50 led by Phoenix Artemisia, founder of the newly located Watsonville Yoga, Dance and Healing Arts. We’ll end at the City Plaza at 2p, in time for more patriotic fun. Decorate your bike and come dressed in your most patriotic attire. We’ll have prizes for the most spirited adults and youth.

These Spirit of Watsonville events are the first of our Welcome Back Watsonville summer event series. Other upcoming events include the Music in the Plaza concert series (various dates July - October), the Watsonville Strawberry Festival (August 8) and the Airport Open House/Fire in the Sky (September 4).
