Thank you for your interest in helping the Watsonville Public Library. Here are some tips that will help make your donation successful!
We are happy to accept donations of books, CDs, and DVDs.
All donations need to be in grocery bags with handles. Bigger bags and boxes are too heavy for us to handle.
We accept a maximum of 5 bags at a time.
We accept donations of newer books, published in the last 10 years, which are in good condition. Donations of older or damaged materials may be recycled.
We cannot use donations of encyclopedias or text books.
All donations become the property of the Watsonville Public Library. They may be added to the library's collection or sold to raise money for the library. All funds raised go to the nonprofit Friends of the Library organization, which supports library services and children's programs.
Donating with a Bequest
Including the Friends in your estate plan can be as simple as making a provision in your will or trust. You can do this by designating a specific amount or a specific percentage of your estate as a gift to the Friends of the Watsonville Public Library. You can also name the Friends as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan.
