Gymnastics
Our youth gymnastics program is designed for young children, follows the USA Gymnastics progression, and is offered at the Ramsay Park Family Center. Class duration, times and fees vary.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all department sports/leagues, facility rentals, and special events have been cancelled through the month of May. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience.
All participants currently registered for a cancelled sports program will be issued a refund. Please allow 3-6 weeks (up to May 15).
Class Descriptions:
Tot ‘n Me (Walking to 3 Years Old)
This program is 2 days/week. Child must be accompanied by an adult. Loosely structured with free exploration time, children will build essential basic motor skills through short and quick activities. One-on-one guidance is given for parent to help child develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination and body awareness. Class closes with circle time with song and play.Class for 3 and 4 Year Old Children
These classes are designed for pre-school children to develop age appropriate motor and gymnastics skills, eye-hand coordination, balance, strength and flexibility, all while building self-esteem and social skills. Child must be potty-trained to participate.
Class for 5 and 6 Year Old Children
Class for 7-10 Year Old Children
Class instruction is focused on floor, bars, vault and balance beam skills. Students will build strength, flexibility and balance while learning gymnastics skills.Tumbling-4-Teens (11+ years)
This class is a great workout for participants looking to gain tumbling skills while improving strength, flexibility, grace, agility and balance! March-April + May/June Sessions CANCELLED

Meet the Instructors:
Recreation Supervisor, Jenny Vivenzi is a former Professional Member of USA Gymnastics with over 15 years of teaching recreational gymnastics.

Recreation Class Instructor, Aimee Gutierrez, has been providing gymnastic instruction with our department since 2015. She's a PV High School alumna, where her gymnastics background started as a cheerleader! We are fortunate to have her dedication to children and keeping them engaged and active!
Recreation Class Instructor, Jessica Sanchez, is a recent graduate of CSUMB with a degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. She joined the department in 2016 with an extensive background in competitive gymnastics and cheerleading. The program benefits greatly with her passion for keeping our community healthy and active!
Recreation Specialist, Consuelo Gomez, has been in the program for one year! She's worked in other programs over the years, and is now an integral part of the youth sports team! Not only does she come with an extensive background providing services to our youth, she has a strong commitment and dedication serving the youth of Watsonville!
