Curbside collection of yard waste occurs every other week. Customers who need yard waste service can order a container by calling customer service 831-768-3133. The Yard Waste Collection Program is offered to City residents is part of the City's efforts to meet mandated diversion goals established by the State of California. The City's Drop-off Center also accepts Yard Waste for a fee.

General Collection Guidelines


  • Set your carts out the night before.
  • Garbage, recycling, and yard waste service starts at 4:30 a.m.
  • Do not compact contents or overload cart – cart will not empty.
  • Make sure the container lid is closed.
