More than $13,600 was raised during the Watsonville Police Department’s 2020 Pink Patch Project campaign.
Every year in October, the campaign aims to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and support research organizations in combating this devastating disease.
With support and donations from residents and local businesses, the department managed to raise $13,683.
The funds will be donated to the Katz Cancer Resource Center to help local families who cannot afford breast cancer treatment/ services. A check will be presented to the center during the January 19 city council meeting.
Since 2017, the agency has raised more than $48,000 for KCRC.
