Residents receiving fraudulent phone calls demanding past due payment

The fraudulent calls appear to be coming from the City of Watsonville.

Several Watsonville residents have been receiving automated voicemails claiming they have past due balances and that their power/utilities will be shut off unless a payment is made immediately.

 

These fraudulent calls appear to be coming from the City of Watsonville.

 

Please note that the City of Watsonville and PG&E will never request a payment or ask for your financial information over the phone.

 

Do not fall for this scam. Hang up and disregard the message!

Varios residentes de Watsonville han estado recibiendo correos de voz automatizados que afirman que tienen saldos vencidos y que se les cortarán los servicios públicos a menos que se realice un pago de inmediato.

 

Estas llamadas fraudulentas parecen provenir de la Ciudad de Watsonville.

 

Tenga en cuenta que la Ciudad de Watsonville y la compañía PG&E nunca solicitarán un pago ni solicitarán su información financiera por teléfono.
