Watsonville Municipal Airport committed to a five year plan of action in 2018 to reduce the facility's carbon foot print.
In 2018 the Airport installed LED lighting in Corporate Hangars, followed by similar lighting installations in T-Hangars and Administrative offices in 2019. During 2020 Ramp stanchion lighting was converted to LED. The following year, 2021, Watsonville Municipal became California's first non-towered regional airport to offer Unleaded Fuel. Now in the plan's fifth year the next phase in reducing our carbon footprint begins with the introduction of Electric Vehicle chargers in the west Terminal parking lot.
