Watsonville COVID Memorial Stories


Now that the COVID-19 Commemorative Monarch Butterfly Sculpture has been officially unveiled, community members can begin to submit a story and photos of loved ones they lost to COVID-19. 

The stories will be shared on a community blog to honor and remember their life.

The monarch butterfly sculpture, located in the upper portion of Struve Slough, was commissioned to honor and remember the Watsonville residents we lost during the pandemic. The beautiful butterfly mosaic represents hope and unity and provides a place where the people of Watsonville can come for reflection and remembrance.


Ahora que la escultura de mariposa monarca que le rinde homenaje a las víctimas del COVID-19 se ha presentado oficialmente, miembros de la comunidad pueden comenzar a enviar una historia y fotos de los seres queridos que perdieron a causa del COVID-19.
