City of Watsonville Temporary Flower Sales Deadline Approaching/Se aproxima la fecha límite para solicitar permisos de ventas temporales de flores en la Ciudad de

The City of Watsonville has policies to regulate seasonal transient flower sales within City limits.  Under the policy, there is an annual cap of ten (10) Temporary Use Permits for seasonal flower sales within City Limits.  If more than ten (10) complete applications are received, all applications will be placed into a lottery to be drawn on January 15, 2018.  Priority will be given to those applicants located within a 7 mile radius of Watsonville City limits.  Those applications that have been approved will be sent out by mail the week of January 22th.  Application materials for those not selected in the lottery will be returned by mail. 

The deadline for submittal of Temporary Use Permit applications to sell flowers in Watsonville is fast approaching!  If you are not a fixed store-front business and plan to sell flowers for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Dia de los Muertos in 2018, you must submit a complete application to the City by Friday, January 12, 2018.  Please note that City offices will be closed December 25, 2017 through January 2, 2018.  Application forms are available at the City of Watsonville Community Development Department, 250 Main Street. 


Complete Permit applications must include the following:

  • A completed Flower Sales Temporary Use Permit application form. (Available at the Community Development Department – 250 Main Street, Watsonville)
  • Property owner's written authorization (signature) to use property where sales are to take place.
  • A site plan on 8 ½ x 11 size paper showing sales location and vehicle/pedestrian access.
  • A check payable to the City of Watsonville in the amount of $319.00

Aviso público sobre los nuevos reglamentos para vender flores temporalmente en el 2018


La Ciudad de Watsonville adoptó una nueva política para reglamentar la venta temporal de flores por vendedores ambulantes dentro de los límites de la Ciudad.  Bajo la política nueva, hay un límite anual de diez (10) Permisos de Uso Temporal para vender temporalmente flores dentro de los límites de la Ciudad.  Si la Ciudad recibe más de diez (10) solicitudes llenas, se someterán a un proceso de lotería que se llevará a cabo el 15 de enero de 2018.  Se les dará prioridad a aquellos solicitantes con sitios ubicados dentro de un radio de 7 millas de los límites de la Ciudad. El permiso se enviará por correo aproximadamente durante la semana del 22 de enero de 2018 a los solicitantes que sus solicitudes sean seleccionadas. Todas las solicitudes que no hayan sido seleccionadas se devolverán por correo.

 

¡La fecha límite para presentar las solicitudes para Permiso de Uso Temporal para vender flores se acerca pronto!  Si Ud. no es dueño de un negocio con localidad fija y tiene planes de vender flores para el día de San Valentín dia de la Madres o en el día de los muertos en el 2018, tiene que presentar una solicitud a la Ciudad para el viernes 12 de enero. Favor de notar que las oficinas de la ciudad estarán cerradas el 25 de diciembre hasta el 2 de enero de 2018. Las solicitudes están disponibles en el Departamento de Desarrollo Urbano de la Ciudad de Watsonville, 250 Main Street. 

La solicitud tiene que contener lo siguiente:

  • Una solicitud para Permiso de Uso Temporal para vender flores. (Disponible en el Departamento de Desarrollo Urbano, 250 Main St.)
  • Autorización por escrito del dueño de la propiedad en donde ocurrirán las ventas. 
  • Un plano del sitio en papel de 8 ½ x 11 pulgadas mostrando la ubicación del puesto de venta y acceso por peatones y vehículos.
  • Un cheque pagadero a la City of Watsonville por la cantidad de $319.00.
