UPDATE - AIRPORT BOULEVARD CLOSURE DELAYED
Graniterock issued a new notification to those affected of the change in dates for the closure. The new closure dates are July 30th to August 12th. Closure from the intersection of Freedom and Airport Boulevard to about 1,300 feet northeast on Airport Boulevard toward Pajaro Lane. Crews will be removing and replacing sidewalks, curbs and gutters. Barricades will be in place to keep through traffic out, but customers and employees will have access to businesses coming from Green Valley Road.
The Airport Boulevard Improvements Project is scheduled to be completed in August. Most of the project costs will be covered by grants the City received through the Highway Safety Improvement Program and the State Transportation Improvement Program with the remaining portion paid by the City's Gas Tax funds. The cost of the project is $1,345,883.35.
- $278,200 is being funded by (HSIP) Highway Safety Improvement Program
- $850,000 is being funded by (STIP) State Transportation Improvement Program
- $217,688.35 is being funded from Gas Tax.

Notifications were sent by Graniterock to those affected areas of the road closure on Airport Blvd.
"We are writing this letter to inform you of the road closure on Airport Blvd. from 7/9/18 to 7/27/18 (if dates change we will send out another notification). Some driveways and sidewalks will be impacted at various times throughout the road closure. Barricades will be in place to keep thru traffic out, but customers/employees will have access to businesses coming from Green Valley Rd. Traffic control measures will be in place to alert pedestrians and motorists of the road closure."
