Watsonville Public Library was selected as one of twelve libraries to receive $5,000 each to participate in the Library Innovation Lab grant program.
California Humanities is a state wide nonprofit that connects Californians to ideas and one another in order to understand our shared heritage and diverse cultures, inspire civic participation, and shape our future.
This grant program will help build capacity within California libraries to developed creative and innovative programs that will respond to the needs and circumstances of today's immigrants and immigrant communities and foster more inclusive communities within our state.
The library Innovation Lab project will provide training, support, and resources to a cohort of libraries. This project will enable them to design and implement new public humanities projects that will reach and engage undeserved immigrant groups in their communities during the program period. The Watsonville Library is seeking your input in regards to services and programming ideas.
