Support WPD & WFD's Pink Patch Project

PinkPatch Project (2)

Watsonville police officers and firefighters are teaming up to help fight the battle against breast cancer and you can help!

Watsonville police officers and firefighters have teamed up to help fight the battle against breast cancer and to support breast cancer awareness.

During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, they will wear pink patches on their uniforms.

The agencies joined forces to design a one-of-a-kind pink patch to generate conversation within the community, raise awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against this disease. Most importantly, the pink patches show our support and unity with those affected by breast cancer.

Officer Juan Sanchez Pink Patch

In 2017, the police department donated more than $6,000 to breast cancer research. It’s expected that this year’s campaign will be even more successful with the help of the fire department. All funds raised are used specifically for Watsonville families affected by breast cancer.

These commemorative patches are being sold for $10 each at the Watsonville Police Department and the Watsonville Fire Department Administration offices at fire station 2.

Join us in this battle against breast cancer.
