The 17th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Community Awards are scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2019. Join us for an evening of recognition in the spirit of Cesar E. Chavez.
In collaboration with the Friends of Parks and Community Services, the Parks and Community Services Department will be hosting the 17th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Community Awards on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Civic Plaza Community Room, 275 Main Street, Fourth Floor.
Young people (ages 22 and under), adults role models, schools, youth serving organizations and businesses who not only support and foster youth leadership in the community but also engage youth in positive-prosocial activities that empower them to help others and contribute to their community will be recognized. The evening will consist of dinner, welcome by City of Watsonville Mayor Francisco Estrada, Santa Cruz County Superintendent of School Faris Sabbah will give the keynote address with the awards presentation following.
