The Watsonville Police and Fire Department presented the Katz Cancer Resource Center at Dominican Hospital a $9,116 check during Tuesday’s (02/26/19) city council meeting. All funds will be used to help Watsonville families affected by breast cancer!
WPD officers, staff, and Watsonville Fire raised the money during the October 2018 Pink Patch Campaign, bringing in nearly $3, 000 more than the previous year.
The agencies joined forces in 2018, to design a one-of-a-kind pink patch to generate conversation within the community, raise awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against this disease. Most importantly, the pink patches show our support and unity with those affected by breast cancer.

We’d like to thank everyone who supported this great cause!
P.S. WPD is getting ready to design the 2019 pink patch. Any suggestions and ideas can be sent to michelle.pulido@cityofwatsonville.org
