Full road closure on Green Valley Road between Struve Slough & Carey Ave. 10/26/19 to 10/31/19
UPDATE (10/24/19) - FULL ROAD CLOSURE ON GREEN VALLEY ROAD BETWEEN STRUVE SLOUGH (entrance to Home Depot) AND CAREY AVENUE
Granite Construction will be performing pavement improvements on South Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue and Struve Slough. The nature of this work requires a full closure to this section of roadway. A closure will begin to the south at the Home Depot and Green Valley Church intersection and will run to Carey Avenue to the north.
Southern Detour: During these days, traffic will be detoured around this closure from the south at Loma Prieta Avenue to Airport Blvd., traffic will then be directed onto Freedom Blvd. from Airport Blvd. Foot traffic will be limited to one side of the roadway for the duration of this closure. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
Northern Detour: From Freedom Blvd., traffic will be detoured onto Airport Blvd., then onto Loma Prieta Avenue. Carey Avenue residents will have access during this closure.
Through traffic will not be permitted during this closure, however, local business traffing along Green Valley Road will be available.

WORK SCHEDULED WEEK OF OCTOBER 14TH - Traffic will be limited to single lane of travel in either direction

The Northbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Struve Slough and Carey Avenue will be closed to traffic the week of October 14th. The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road will be opened to pedestrian traffic and a modified bike lane will be in place in the partially closed number 2 lane.
The Southbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue and Struve Slough will be closed to traffic the week of October 14th. The sidewalk on the west side of South Green Valley Road will be closed to pedestrian foot traffic, all pedestrian traffic will be directed to the new sidewalk on the east side of the road.

The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road will be opened to pedestrian traffic and a modified bike lane will be in place in the partially closed number 2 lane.
The Southbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue and Struve Slough will be closed to traffic the week of October 7th. The sidewalk on the west side of South Green Valley Road will be closed to pedestrian foot traffic, all pedestrian traffic will be directed to the new sidewalk on the east side of the road.

WORK SCHEDULED WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 16th - Traffic will be limited to single lane of travel in either direction starting September 19th.
The Northbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Struve Slough and Carey Avenue will be closed to traffic the week of September 16th. The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley road will also be closed to pedestrian traffic until September 19th. All foot traffic will be directed to the opposite side of the road.
On Thursday, September 19th, the Southbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between arey Avenue and Struve Slough will be closed to traffic. The sidewalk on the west side of South Green Valley Road will be closed beginning September 19th, all pedestrian traffic will be directed to the new sidewalk on the east side of the road.
Additionally, the intersection of Carey Avenue will see a closure of the west side of the street for sidewalk and curb ramp improvements. A full closure to the intersection of Carey Avenue and Green Valley Road on the west side will take effect starting September 19th. Please follow all detour signs off Freedom Blvd. to access Carey Avenue, this closure and detour will last for approximately three weeks.
WORK SCHEDULED WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 9th
The Northbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Struve Slough and Carey Avenue will be closed to traffic for the week of September 9th. The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley road will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. All foot traffic will be directed to the opposite side of the road.
Additionally the intersection of Carey Avenue will see a closure of the eat side of the street for sidewalk and curb ramp improvements. A full closure to the intersection of Carey Avenue and Green Valley Road on the east side has taken effect. Please follow all detour signs off Freedom Blvd. to access Carey Avenue, this closure and detour will last for approximately two weeks.

The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. All foot traffic will be directed to the opposite side of the road.
Additionally, the intersection of Carey Avenue will see a closure of the east side of the street for sidewalk and curb ramp improvements. A full closure to the intersection of Carey Avenue and Green Valley Road on the east side will take place Tuesday, September 3rd, this will last for approximately three weeks.
