Vision Zero is a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy and equitable mobility for all. City Council approved the implementation of Vision Zero in the City of Watsonville at its January 16, 2018 meeting. The Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency (H.S.A.) introduced Vision Zero to agencies within Santa Cruz County and supports its implementation.
You can review and comment on the City's most updated Vision Zero Action Plan. Below are a link to the Vision Zero Action Plan 2019, a link to a form to use to provide input, and a link to Public Works' web page where you can learn more about Vision Zero. Comments will be received until December 20th, 2019. Next steps include presenting the Vision Zero Action Plan to Council in January or February of 2020. Your feedback and comments are extremely valuable.
