Watsonville’s Draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan and its Appendices are ready for public comment.
Our Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
Watsonville’s Draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan and its Appendices are ready for public comment. We are looking for feedback from the community to ensure we captured the concerns and priorities that were shared during last year’s community meetings and through the survey. Public comment will be open until August 10th. Please direct your feedback via email at lhmp@cityofwatsonville.org.
The Plan will then be submitted to the California Office of Emergency Services for an initial review and then to FEMA for final approval. When approved, The City of Watsonville will apply for CRS credits which may help lower some of our residents’ flood insurance premiums.
